Canadian apparel industry looking to the future with optimism, yet major labour force hurdles must be overcome according to a Labour Market Study conducted for AHRC.
Montréal, March 31st, 2011 – Mr. Adrian Bussoli, President of AGM Wear of Calgary (AB) and Co-Chair of the AHRC Board of Directors, accompanied by Mr. Alan Milstein of Milstein & Co Consulting Inc, the study author and a leading industry consultant for over 20 years, and Mr. Jean Rivard, Executive Director of the AHRC unveiled findings and recommendations of one of the most important studies done on the Canadian apparel sector: PRESSING AHEAD: CANADA’S TRANSFORMING APPAREL INDUSTRY.
Main finding: Employers are optimistic and foresee growth, but there are caveats: major labour market hurdles must be overcome.
